Ocean Resilience Innovation Challenge
The Ocean Risk and Resilience Action Alliance (ORRAA) has launched the Ocean Resilience Innovation Challenge in mid October. The challenge aims to form the foundation of a new marketplace driving $500m of investment into coastal natural capital. It’s open to individual or consortiums of organizations across public, private, local civil society, international NGOs and academia.
Together with the Global Innovation Fund, we are pleased to announce the first innovations to receive investment from our Innovating for Climate Resilience fund: Agritask, a decision-support platform for agricultural operations; and PLACE, a non-profit hyperlocal mapping organisation.
Five teams have been selected to receive a $5000 grant. The award is a joint effort from Climate Justice Resilience Fund (CJRF), Global Resilience Partnership (GRP), and International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD).
