The Collective Advantage: Understanding Transboundary Climate Risks in Southeast Asia and Charting a Path Forward

This COP29 session will increase understanding on transboundary climate risks that affect Southeast Asia and the need for collective action to address them.

Southeast Asia, a socio-economic and biodiversity powerhouse, is poised to be the world’s fourth-largest economy by 2030. Yet, it faces growing transboundary climate risks—climate impacts that transcend national borders, affecting ecosystems, economies, and communities across the region. BCG and Adaptation Without Borders will present insights from the joint report, “The Collective Advantage: Understanding Transboundary Climate Risks in Southeast Asia and Charting a Path Forward” highlighting the collective actions needed to build regional climate resilience.
