Lutheran World Relief (LWR)

Project Title: Nepal-India Trans-Boundary Resilience

Lutheran World Relief (LWR) has worked with communities across the Nepal-India border to boost their ability to absorb, adapt, and transform in the face of annual floods. Building on a successful 2016 pilot, the project focused on integrated strategies to improve Early Warning Systems (EWS), Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and building resilient livelihoods through cross-border community-based structures. The project has also bolstered the capacity to document and influence policy at the national and regional level through working with the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC).
