Alliance for Global Water Adaptation (AGWA)

Water-Centric Resilience & Adaptation

AGWA is an international NGO working across technical and policy programs to mainstream resilient water resources management, focusing on the connections between water resources and climate adaptation and mitigation. AGWA works with and through its member network to develop and crowd-source solutions across disciplines, institutions, and sectors. Through direct engagement with its members, AGWA enables hundreds of institutions and thousands of individuals globally to align their vision, co-construct tools to enable resilience, and intertwine emerging technical knowledge, finance instruments, and policy processes into synthetic, integrated tools and methodologies.

AGWA’s vision is for effective climate change adaptation and mitigation practices to be mainstreamed and enabled within water resources management decision-making processes, policies, and implementation. The mission of AGWA is to provision tools, partnerships, guidance, and technical assistance to improve effective decision making, action, governance, and analytical processes in water resources management, focusing on climate adaptation and mitigation.
