Join the Global Resilience Partnership (GRP), Stockholm Resilience Centre (SRC), and Future Earth for the launch of the Resilience Science Must-Knows landmark report which distils decades of cutting-edge research into nine actionable insights every decision-maker should know to navigate risk, and drive adaptation and transformation.
With framing talks from Johan Rockström, Director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, Fatima Denton Director of the United Nations University Institute for Natural Resources in Africa, who have been distinguished members of the editorial board of this initiative, this session will unpack the report’s key findings and their implications for resilience practice and policy. Key messages will be presented by the lead authors and resilience scientists Albert Norström, Science Director at the Earth Commission and Associate Professor at the Stockholm Resilience Centre and Cibele Queiroz, Knowledge Director at GRP and Researcher at the Stockholm Resilience Centre.
The Resilience Science Must-Knows are the result of an unprecedented collective effort by the global resilience research community, which included surveys with over 130 resilience experts, global editorial leadership, a comprehensive literature review, and consultation dialogues with over 160 decision-makers.
Designed as both a launch and a learning moment, the session invites participants to reflect, connect, and collaborate around the science of resilience—turning knowledge into collective action for a sustainable future.
