Resilience Innovation through Scaling Entrepreneurship (RISE) Urban Innovation Challenge
Currently, only 1.2% of urban climate investments flow to climate change adaptation and resilience solutions. Increasing these flows requires strengthening a diverse pipeline of solutions across for-profit, not-for-profit, private sector-led and private public partnership models, alongside an enabling environment of supportive policy, finance, measurement and evidence. Against this backdrop, the Global Resilience Partnership launched the Resilience Innovation through Scaling Entrepreneurship Urban Challenge to help innovative ideas addressing resilience in informality contexts scale into sustainable solutions. Following a rigorous global selection process, six grantees were selected and will receive tailored support, connections to potential funders, and guidance to help accelerate more inclusive and resilient urban systems.
