World Water Week: Healthy forests, healthy people: managing the forest/water nexus

Integrated forest-water management is a nature-based solution to support and provide ecosystem services critical for life on Earth. Biodiversity, clean water, nutritious food, air cooling, spiritual and cultural values are all crucial for resilience of urban and rural societies.

The Forest Water Champions is a group of forest and water professionals that advocate for better understanding and more attention to the interlinkages between trees, forests and water, and how managing forest for water contribute to Climate Change mitigation and adaptation and Agenda 2030.

You are invited to participate in this event, to discuss conclusions and recommendations from a webinar series held in the run up to World Water Week. Key messages from this session will be documented and considered in the Forest-Water Champions contributions to the international policy development and dialogue, such as the CBD COP15, UNFCCC COP26 and beyond.
