1. CAS Talks: Official Launch of the Race for Resilience campaign

The campaign, recently announced at the UN convened Climate Ambition Summit and led by the High-Level Climate Champions for Climate Action – Nigel Topping and Gonzalo Muñoz, aims to catalyse a step-change in global ambition and action for climate resilience, putting people and nature first in pursuit of a resilient world where we not only withstand climate shocks but thrive in spite of them.

2. Race to Resilience: Building the Resilience of 4 Billion People by 2030

After the launch of Race to Resilience at CAS you are invited to join this event with the High Level Climate Action Champions. They will share more on the campaign, and how it aims to catalyse a step-change in global ambition and action for climate resilience by putting people and nature first in pursuit of a resilient world through the engagement of businesses, cities, regions, investors and civil society. The session is co-hosted by Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht-Rockefeller Foundation Resilience Center, the Global Resilience Partnership, and the Global Center on Adaptation.
3. Locally Led Adaptation Event: Money and Power Where It Matters: Mobilising for Locally Led Adaptation
26 January at 9:00 – 11:00 CET, CAS Channel 3
In this session, power and money will be mobilized to get it where it is needed most – on the frontlines of climate change. International commitments and programmes on local action will be demonstrated, as well as a new set of principles to guide local action, concluding with an invitation to individual locally led adaptation.
